Coachford Players return to Briery Gap with hit comedy, Nobody's Talking to Me!
Following their hugely successful production of Wake in the West at the Briery Gap Theatre last year, Coachford Players are delighted to return to the Macroom stage with their latest production, Nobody’s Talking to Me, by Tommy Marren.
The show will run for two nights only, on May 13th and 14th. Audiences can once again look forward to a night of laughter, sharp comedy, and the warm, familiar style that has made this group such a favourite in the area.
Coachford Players are one of the most successful and long-running drama groups in the region, with a proud tradition of bringing high-quality productions to local audiences year after year.
Set in the kitchen of Mattie and Maggie Conway on the day of their 50th wedding anniversary, Nobody’s Talking to Mequickly turns from celebration to chaos. The couple haven’t spoken to each other in over ten years, and when the parish priest arrives unannounced to renew their vows, long-buried tensions rise to the surface.
As the day unfolds, the reasons behind their silence begin to emerge, helped along by a cast of colourful characters including Mattie’s eccentric sister Minnie, their daughter Josephine, and her somewhat clueless suitor Andy Walsh. With a wake taking place next door, unexpected visitors dropping in, and a surprise party where nobody seems to be speaking, confusion reigns and the laughs come thick and fast.
Packed with sharp one-liners, classic Irish humour, and plenty of twists, this is a lively and entertaining production that promises a great night out for all.
Early booking is strongly advised.
