Cert 12A

Across his peerless career, Steven Spielberg has, in films such as E.T. (1982) and Jurassic Park (1993), created some of sci-fi’s most indelible images.

In this typically thrilling and thought-provoking return to the genre, when TV meteorologist (Emily Blunt) begins to speak in a strange language live on air, only cybersecurity specialist Daniel Kellner (Josh O’Connor), who has stolen files on prior alien contact with humanity, seems able to understand. This puts the two at the centre of a global struggle over control of this information and its dissemination.

This feature presentation contains sequences of flashing lights that may affect viewers who are susceptible to photosensitive epilepsy or other photosensitivities.

Cert 12A | Films classified 12A have been deemed appropriate for viewers aged 12 and over. However, they can also be seen by younger children, provided they are accompanied by an adult who has deemed the film appropriate viewing for that child.
