In seeking quiet and rural isolation to further his studies in mathematics, Malcolm Malcomson arrives at Benchurch to take up residency at an old abandoned Judge’s house. Being unconcerned by local superstitions, he is determined to get his work done. But not believing in malevolent forces is no protection, when they come out to play. The Judge’s House, written by Bram Stoker is a forgotten horror classic, that will be staged for the first time, this Halloween, at the Briery Gap Theatre on the 28th of October. Directed by Iarfhlaith Ó Tuama with a new score written by Alan Kiely (Murder at Shandy Hall, Sir Henry, Shame the Devil, Tuairín Dubh and Gobnait), it will star Stephanie Shine, Kieran Cotter, Seumas O’ Donovan and Tomás Healy.
