Celebrate 40 years of Michael Mann’s Manhunter, the landmark 1986 crime thriller that introduced audiences to Hannibal Lecter.
William Petersen stars as FBI profiler Will Graham, drawn out of retirement to investigate a series of brutal murders linked to the elusive “Tooth Fairy”. To catch the killer, Graham must enter his mind — a process that forces him to confront the psychological darkness of his own work.
Brian Cox gives a chilling performance as the imprisoned Dr. Hannibal Lecter, while Tom Noonan plays Francis Dollarhyde, the disturbed killer Graham is determined to stop.
Based on Thomas Harris’s novel Red Dragon, Manhunter is renowned for its distinctive visual style, atmospheric cinematography and pulsing electronic score. A defining film of 1980s American cinema and one of Michael Mann’s most influential works, this 40th anniversary screening offers the chance to experience Manhunter on the big screen once again.
