Live Music
For more than three decades, acclaimed singer, songwriter, actor and creative force Maria Doyle Kennedy has built one of Ireland’s most varied and celebrated artistic careers. While many know her from her extensive film and television work, music has always been her first love.
After performing with several bands, Maria established her own record label in 2000 and has since released eleven solo albums. Her latest record, Fire on the Roof of Eden, received widespread acclaim, earning a place in The Irish Times' Albums of the Year, while Hot Press hailed her as “one of Ireland’s most accomplished vocalists and a national treasure.”
A constant collaborator is her husband, Kieran Kennedy, her partner in life and music. Together they have created a remarkable body of work, from acclaimed recordings to compositions for television, including the theme music for Dizzy Deliveries and soundtrack contributions to Recipes for Love and Murder.
Alongside her musical achievements, Maria has appeared in more than 50 film and television productions and recently received her fourth IFTA nomination for her portrayal of Birdy in the hit crime drama, Kin.
Currently Artists-in-Residence at Killruddery House and Gardens, Maria and Kieran are writing and recording new music. This is a rare opportunity to experience one of Ireland’s most distinctive voices live in concert, performing songs drawn from an extraordinary career that continues to evolve and inspire.
