Film Synopsis | From Kilkenny’s Cartoon Saloon comes this beautiful and intricate hand-drawn animation, telling the story of young monk Brendan who is learning how to illuminate manuscripts. Forbidden to go outside the monastery walls for fear of Vikings, Brendan dares go into the forest where Aisling, a spirit girl, gives him inspiration to complete the Book of Kells.
