Equally at home in adventurous improvisation and the most tender ballad, his playing reflects both technical mastery and the searching mind of a gifted teacher.

Anchoring the quartet, Dave Fleming on double bass combines an unshakeable sense of pulse with lyrical, thoughtfully shaped solos, while John Philip Murray on drums provides a steadfast foundation that opens the rhythmic pathways for the music to wander, surprise, and delight.
