Brigid Mae Power is a singer-songwriter from Galway, Ireland. Celebrated for her hypnotic voice and genre-blurring sound, Power is rooted in traditional Irish music but her work drifts effortlessly through folk, jazz, psychedelic and country influences. Her 2020 album, Head Above The Water, was a deeply personal coming-of-age album that fused traditional folk and country with luminous vocals and piercing emotional clarity, and earned glowing reviews from Pitchfork, Mojo, Uncut and The Guardian.
In 2023, Power released Dream From The Deep Well, a dreamy blend of ancient tradition and modern melody, which was praised for its emotional depth and cinematic beauty. Drawing on stories of family, love and loss, the record reimagines folk music for the present day, pairing Power's evocative vocals with lush arrangements of strings, steel guitar, horns and mellotron.
Power's live performance delivers an intimate, mesmerising experience that will linger long after the final note.
