When their youngest daughter, Carol Anne, disappears into a mysterious otherworldly realm, her family must confront a terrifying presence that has made their house its domain. With the help of a team of paranormal investigators, they embark on a desperate attempt to bring her back.

Blending psychological unease, supernatural terror and groundbreaking visual effects, Poltergeist remains one of the defining horror films of the 1980s — a chilling exploration of the darkness lurking beneath the familiar comforts of home.
