Cert 12A
In the tense 72 hours before D-Day, the fate of the Allied invasion hangs on a single, extraordinary decision. With weather conditions threatening to derail the largest seaborne invasion in history, meteorologist Captain James Stagg must convince General Dwight D. Eisenhower whether to proceed, delay or abandon the operation.
Starring Andrew Scott, Brendan Fraser, Kerry Condon, Chris Messina and Damian Lewis, Pressure brings a little-known story from the days before D-Day to the screen. As Stagg and his team race to interpret increasingly unpredictable weather patterns, the pressure mounts on Eisenhower and the Allied commanders, knowing that thousands of lives depend on their decision.
Directed by Anthony Maras and based on David Haig’s acclaimed play, Pressure is a tense historical drama about leadership, uncertainty and the enormous human cost behind one of the defining military operations of the Second World War.
